Tanzania National Sports Complex
Project Background
The Tanzania National Stadium, located in Dar es Salaam, is the largest stadium in the country, seating up to 60,000 spectators. However, the stadium’s lighting often struggled due to frequent thunderstorms caused by the Indian Ocean monsoon season, especially from April to September.
Unstable lighting not only disrupted live broadcasts but also risked the professional development of players, hindering scouting opportunities for future football stars.
Inventronics’ Solution
To solve these issues, Inventronics deployed the EUM-MG series LED drivers:
- Wide input voltage range: 90-305Vac, fitting local power conditions.
- Flexible dimming control: Supporting consistent lighting and an interactive event atmosphere.
- Weather protection: IP66/IP67 waterproof ratings and DM6kV, CM10kV surge protection to withstand thunderstorms.
The new system created stable, high-quality lighting that enhanced live broadcasts and ensured athlete performance was unaffected by lighting interruptions.

Following the upgrade, the stadium successfully hosted the African Super Club League’s opening match, with FIFA’s president in attendance — a proud moment symbolizing China-Tanzania cooperation.
Uganda National Football Association: KADIBA Football Training Ground
Project Background
Inspired by the improvements at Tanzania’s stadium during the African Super Club League, Ugandan officials decided to upgrade lighting at the KADIBA Football Training Ground — critical for developing local football talent.
Poor lighting during evening training posed risks to player safety and limited training quality. The government urgently launched a project to improve conditions.
Inventronics’ Solution
Despite a short 2-month deadline, Inventronics efficiently delivered results by:
- Forming a dedicated project team.
- Using the ESM-MG series drivers, built for Uganda’s three-phase high-voltage environment (249-528Vac input range).
- Ensuring uniform, flicker-free lighting perfect for training and competition.
The upgraded KADIBA training ground now features:
- A smooth, well-lit playing field
- Improved drainage and auxiliary facilities
- A safer, more professional training environment for Uganda’s youth players
