Inventronics is proud to introduce a new family of IP66/IP67 LED drivers with DALI-2 D4i certification granted by the Digital Illumination Interface Alliance (DiiA). The EUM-240SxxxBx family leverages Inventronics latest enhanced platform allowing for reduced inventory SKUs, increased design flexibility and a wide input voltage range of 90-305Vac to assist world-wide applications. The new EUM-240SxxxBx provides OEMs the ability to monitor crucial driver information to reduce maintenance costs, the ability to plug and play controls and streamline production with their wireless NFC programming. They provide constant power at 240W at a wide input current range from 700-6700mA.
While there are many advantages to DALI-2 certification, Inventronics sees the value add of offering LED drivers with the additional D4i certification. D4i certified LED drivers allow luminaire manufacturers the possibility of plug and play controls compatibility with a wide range of application specific controls solutions. D4i ensures the entire smart lighting system runs effortlessly and is easily integrated. It supplies the ability to leverage crucial health and diagnostics data so users can optimize their lighting system by reading data in real-time to increase energy savings, reduce maintenance costs and ensure consistent lighting. Coupled with the integrated AC power monitoring, users can measure energy consumption and better evaluate their ROI.
The EUM-240SxxxBx family also utilizes Inventronics Controls-Ready features of Dim-to-Off and an Always-On auxiliary power to eliminate additional wiring and allowing for a cost optimized fixture design. The Always-On auxiliary power is 24V, 125mA so it can easily be paired with various sensors and provides a transient peak up to 10W to allow for more controls, such as radios that tend to spike power periodically. The integrated 16Vdc Bus Power Supply provides power to the DALI bus and control devices making it easier to implement connectivity to create smart cities.
In addition to DALI-2 D4i, the EUM-240SxxxBx family offers more versatility and convenience since it is equipped with the valuable and time-saving feature of wireless programming via Near Field Communication (NFC). The EUM-240SxxxBx family can be configured without power or a mains connection, providing an effortless approach to programming. The luminaire can be adjusted safely at any time and it allows for easy in-application troubleshooting. The EUM-240SxxxBx family can be programmed using the Inventronics PRG-NFC-D desktop programmer, PRG-NFC-H handheld programmer or any Zhaga Book 24 compatible programmers which allows manufacturers to wirelessly set the output current and minimum dimming levels.
The EUM-240SxxxBx family offers three separate driver series. The EUM-240SxxxBG is equipped with a global cable that is obtained by merging the “UL world” together with the “IEC world”. They are suitable to be used world-wide which provides OEMS with reduced inventory SKUs and carrying costs associated with overstocking products. The EUM-240SxxxBT is more suitable for the North American market and provides the added convenience of UL Class P. The EUM-240SxxxBB is approved for BIS certifications. This new family is approved to UL, FCC, ENEC, CE, CB, CCC, PSE, KS, KCC BIS and Independent Use certifications. The EUM-240SxxxBx family maintains an industry-leading surge protection of 6kV (differential mode) and 10kV (common mode). The rugged, extruded-metal housing, which utilizes a proprietary encapsulation process, is IP66 and IP67 rated and specially designed to operate in harsh outdoor conditions and demanding applications such as high bay, high mast and roadway lighting. Each EUM-240SxxxBx series provides a multi-layer of protection with a superior level of protection which includes over-voltage, over-temperature, short-circuit protection and an end-of-life indicator. They are highly reliable, and their robust protection allows for longer lifetimes up to 101,000 hours at a case temperature of 70°C.
